Technical FAQ for R&D and Procurement

Q: What is the main difference between NKNP noninductive wirewound resistors and standard KNP wirewound resistors?
A: The NKNP Series uses special noninductive winding technology to significantly reduce parasitic inductance generated by the resistor. This makes it particularly suitable for high-frequency switching circuits, high dI/dt pulse circuits, and high-precision instrumentation, while retaining the high-power capability and excellent heat dissipation of conventional wirewound resistors.
Q: What are the size options and protective coating specifications for the NKNP and NKNP-S Series?
A: NKNP is the standard-size noninductive wirewound resistor, while NKNP-S is the miniature-size version designed for high-density PCB layouts. The entire series is coated with green silicone that meets the UL94-V0 flameproof standard and supports a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +275°C.
Q: What resistance values and tolerance options are available for the NKNP Series?
A: Standard resistance values follow the E24 series, with a standard resistance tolerance of ±5%. For circuit designs requiring higher signal-matching accuracy, tolerance options ranging from 1% to 5% are also available.
